Judge Sheets:

The Judge Feedback Forms will be available through this online program to view. Students will log into the competition site and view the feedback forms. Teachers will also be able to view their students' feedback forms in the online system.

 

Medals:

Projects that placed 1st - 4th place will receive medals. All medals will be sent to the campuses by Friday, Feb. 26th. Any medals that were mailed should arrive the first week of March.

Student Registration

RHD Registration Guide and Instructions.docx

Every student will need to create an account and link his/her project to the correct teacher.

 

The registration deadline is February 3, 2021 at 11:59pm.

All projects, process papers, and annotated bibliographies MUST be uploaded in the registration system by 11:59pm on February 3, 2021.

 

Websites will lockout at 11:59pm on February 3, 2021. Students MUST check their website link, make sure it is correct, and publish their website before the lockout time. If either of these is not completed correctly, judges will not be able to open your project and your project will not be judged.

 

GROUP PROJECTS 

  • For students working on a group project, the first student to register will create the entry.  That student will then give their fellow group members the team key”. 
  • Make sure you follow the directions for creating a group project very carefully. The project should only be created once. Each group should identify who will be the first to register and pass the group code to the other team members.

 

Exhibit Guidelines

National History Day has come out with two acceptable formats for Exhibit Category as it applies to Virtual Contest submissions. MAKE SURE you look at each one and the expectations very carefully so that you are in full compliance with the competition guidelines.

 

If you are NOT building an actual exhibit for the contest, then you must follow the

If you are ARE building an actual exhibit for the contest and including a picture of the actual exhibit in your slides project, then you must follow the

Examples of Correct Exhibit Presentation/Formating for Physical Exhibits Submitted Virtually(Students, please make sure you look at the examples below and follow the guidelines)

 

 

Historical Paper Guidelines:

All written materials must be combined into one document and submitted. The order of the materials must be:

  • Title Page
  • Process Paper
  • Annotated Bibliography
  • Paper

Teachers - Welcome to the Lee College Regional History Day Competition!

 

Teacher Registration

RHD Registration Guide and Instructions.docx

Teachers will need to register their accounts before students begin the registration process. Read the directions and follow the steps carefully.

Campuses should already be in the system; please contact your Regional Coordinator, Faith Longorio at rebecca.longorio@gccisd.net, if your campus is not listed. 

 

The registration deadline is February 3, 2021 at 11:59pm.

Websites will lockout at 11:59pm on February 3, 2021. Make sure your students' website link is working. If a student website is listed incorrectly or is not published, the judges will not be able to open the projects for judging. 

 

Judging will occur virtually. The first round will be judged February 8-12, and the final round will be judged February 15-19.

Winners will be announced on February 24th on this website.

Thank you for volunteering your time to our students and helping support their growth in the National History Day Program. Although this year will be different due to the virtual nature of this contest, our students greatly appreciate your feedback on their projects.
